Since the film’s premiere in 2010, PUT THIS ON THE {MAP} has screened at film festivals, on campuses, at cultural centers, in libraries, and in classrooms all over the world. Created by filmmakers Megan Kennedy and Sid Jordan, the documentary was originally produced as a training tool for service providers and educators in Washington State. Kennedy and Jordan, along with many of those featured in the film, utilize the film in delivering workshops and trainings based on its central themes.

In November 2010, we launched Reteaching Gender and Sexuality – a national education campaign. We created a 3-minute video  and toured the campaign and PUT THIS ON THE MAP in Spring 2011 to 15 states and 4 provinces. Meeting with practitioners and students across youth-serving professions (e.g. education, public health, social work, psychology, recreation, etc…), we presented on relevant issues impacting queer youth and promote institutional change.
